Every extraordinary thing
begins with a little imagination.
Imagination × technology
We build the AI products, characters, and worlds
that once lived only in dreams.
Where imagination becomes real.
Imaginary builds and launches frontier AI products. We take the ideas most people file under “someday” and ship them, across software, hardware, stories, and film.
How we invent
Find the ideas that feel impossible, and the reason they suddenly aren’t.
Orchestrate frontier AI, engineering, and story into something new.
Put it in people’s hands, and keep making it better. TextSanta was the first.
Ventures · 001
And it started with someone
you already believe in.
A real text conversation with Santa, on the phone you already have. He knows your family by name, remembers what matters, and writes back just the way Santa would.
Ventures 002 – 004
Each one is being built on the same Character OS that brings Santa to life. We’ll light the way to every one of them soon.
What it takes
TextSanta feels simple. You text Santa, and Santa texts back, with voice memos, pictures, songs with your kids’ names in them, even little videos.
Making that feel real took more than thirty AI services and platforms working together as one character: a mind, a memory, a voice, a world, and a way to reach you.
Under the hood
What we really built behind Santa is a character operating system: one platform that gives any character a mind, a memory, a whole world, a voice, a face, and a way into people’s lives. Santa is the first character running on it. He won’t be the last.
Inside the Character OS · one message, end to end
Real texts, on the phone a parent already has. No app to download.
A parent texts: “Emma lost her first tooth!”
From the founder
Santa is still the magic. We just used a lot of technology to bring him a little closer.
TextSanta was our first test of a bigger idea: that the right mix of AI, engineering, and story can make a character feel truly present in someone’s life. Everything we learned now lives in our Character OS, and it’s powering the ventures we launch next.
The imagination behind Imaginary
And the determination
to find out.
“What if?” is a perfectly
good place to start.
Imaginary is where I give the ideas I can’t stop thinking about a place to become real. A story. An app. Something just for the fun of it.
The idea always comes first. I’m drawn to the ones that push technology a little further than it’s comfortable going, and give people something they haven’t felt before.
More ventures in flight
New products are on the way. If you’d like to be part of what comes next, we’d love to hear from you.
